Android Hardening Guide


This guide provides basic instructions to help improve the security and privacy settings on Android devices. Settings > Google >
• Find My Device > Use Find My Device = TOGGLE ON
• Manage your Google Account > Security > 2-Step Verification > ENABLE by following instructions
• Manage your Google Account > Data and privacy = PAUSE or DISABLE ALL tracking
• All services > Ads = Delete or Reset advertising ID
• All services > Autofill > Autofill with Google > Use Autofill with Google = TOGGLE OFF


Settings > Security & Privacy >
• More Security Settings > Network Protection > Wi-Fi Security = TOGGLE ON
• More Security Settings > Secure Folder > Select Folder
• Privacy > Permission Manager > Verify apps you want to access each service
• Device Lock > Change your desired Screen lock type


Play Store > Profile picture > Play Protect > select gear icon > General >
• Scan apps = TOGGLE ON
• Improve detection = TOGGLE ON for security or TOGGLE OFF for privacy
